We are asking for your input to identify words that you think represent what Winside Public Schools core beliefs, values, and aspirations are or should be. Brodee Hurlbert - Brodee has demonstrated growth and maturity in the last month with interactions in and out of the classroom. He has made a conscious effort to make better decisions and focus on good behavior. I am very proud of how well he has been doing! Ms. Sila


The JH-HS Band and HS Choir are heading to Norfolk HS for District Music Contest on Friday. The Band will be performing in the Johnny Carson Theater. The public is invited to attend. Solo or small group events may run earlier than scheduled and are in classrooms as noted:


Starting on Tuesday, April 22, elementary students will be able to go outside in the morning to the playground from 7:45 to 8:05. On Friday's we will still have our weekly meetings so no students will go out. Students can still eat breakfast and we encourage them to eat. Please talk with your student(s) on your wishes regarding breakfast vs. playing outside.

Elementary Field Day has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 20th at 1:00 PM. Parents/Grandparents are welcome.

On Wednesday April 9th, 2025, the Winside Quiz Bowl team competed at the Northeast Community College Quiz Bowl Tournament. There were 28 teams competing in the contest. Winside ended up going 3-2 on the day. The day started with a victory over Rock County before losing to Guardian Angels CC in the second round of the winners' bracket. Though the day was still not over. The Quiz Bowl team competed hard to fight through the other half of the bracket by defeating Battle Creek, Wisner-Pilger, before receiving our second loss and again this time to Guardian Angels CC During your lunch break the team was able to enjoyed a game of fooseball. Mr. Ramold is happy with how the team competed today and throughout the whole quiz bowl season. This was the last event for the Quiz Bowl team this year. The team is losing two seniors: Dane Behmer and Neil Pearson, which both help contribute to the success of the team along with winning back to back Conference Quiz Bowl Championships.



The Winside FFA Chapter represented their school at the Nebraska State FFA Convention, embracing this year’s theme, “Every Moment.” Members competed in a variety of Career and Leadership Development Events, including Conduct of Chapter Meetings, Junior Livestock Judging, Floriculture, Nursery & Landscape, Environmental and Natural Resources, Agriscience, and Hall of Chapters. 6 members also took part in the Ag Issues Academy, gaining valuable leadership and advocacy experience. Additionally, two chapter members served as official voting delegates during the convention. From competition to leadership, Winside FFA made the most of every moment at the State Convention!










There will be no school for this year's Kindergarteners on Friday, April 25 as next year's Kindergarten class will have Kindergarten Roundup.

The Lewis & Clark Conference Art Show was held at WSC recently. 11 students had their works hung Out of 23 entries, 16 received ribbons. There were three 1st places, five 2nd places, three 3rd places and five awarded Best of a Category. Skylar Spann also was voted: Outstanding School Artist. Congratulations to all the students and to Ms. Lamp for her excellent guidance.











The Stanton High School Track & Field Invite scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled due to forecasted weather.
