Fifth graders are enjoying the beautiful weather!
6th grade learned about DNA and genetics and about extracting DNA from strawberries!
4th grade was tasked with an engineering design challenge. They had to build an earth quake resistant structure that could hold a sand bag and was under the $50 budget. They all did amazing! One group's structure even held 15 POUNDS of sand!!
4th grade students are learning about earthquakes. They were given 10 minutes to build the tallest structure they could that could stand by itself for three minutes with newspaper and tape! All four teams' structures stood on their own for three minutes. We had a tie for the tallest structure standing at 24 inches!

On Friday, September 5th, fifth grade visited Mrs.Lang's preschool
Winners of the spaghetti noodle and marshmallow competition. All three classes had to create a structure with marshmallows and spaghetti noodles strong enough to hold their science book. Only ONE group out of all three classes accomplished the task!
