Winside Public Schools will offer Driver’s Education during the summer of 2026. Students who are interested in enrolling must be between the ages of 14 and 17 and must possess a valid Learner’s Permit (LPE, SCP, or LPD) by the first day of class.
The cost of the course is $425. Registration must be completed through Northeast Community College (NECC) prior to the start of class. Registration may be completed in person at NECC or by calling 402-371-2020.
The classroom portion of Driver’s Education will be held Monday, June 1 through Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A total of 20 hours of classroom instruction is required. The driving lab portion will be scheduled throughout June and July. Scheduling later in the summer will depend on vehicle and instructor availability.
Registration forms may be picked up in Mr. Gubbels’ office.
