In computer/keyboarding classes with Mrs. Boehmer, grades 1-3 spent 4th quarter writing computer code using a program that uses a block coding form. Some of the projects included sending various characters on a path to harvest corn or to reach a certain destination. One favorite was to make characters known as sprites dance.
The benefits of coding education extends far beyond the realm of technology, fostering critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. By nurturing these skills in young learners, we are preparing them for a future filled with possibilities.
