Our new Math curriculum gives the opportunities to complete projects. Students may pick from 3 projects at the beginning of Topics (units). We will do these for a few Topics this year. Each project is centered around a real life idea that incorporates the math concepts we will be introduced to in the topics.
Projects from Topic 3 were:
How far would you travel to cheer for your team? (make a map to the game)
What are some important things to do at the airport? (write a list of air travel tasks)
How many Olympic Games have there been? (create an Olympics poster)
