For those of you have wondered what a common bed sheet would look like if it hadn't been washed for 43 years THE SHEET is on display at Jensens Cafe in Winside. THE SHEET has the names of all the Winside State Wrestling Champions from Steph Carlson in 1970 thru Marcos Escalera and Caleb Lienemann in 2014. listed with their year, weight and number. THE SHEET was originally made by Arlene Zofka and hung on her nephew Dave Jaeger's porch after he won the 112 pound title in 1972. It was moved each year to welcome the wrestler who won A Sate Championship until 1982 when my son Mark won his title. We decided at that time to hang it in Lee and Rosies and have the State Champions autograph THE SHEET when they returned from Lincoln/Omaha. It has become a ritual that has been repeated every year the Wildcats have had a State Champion and hopefully will be repeated this year at Jensens Cafe Saturday night February 21, 2015. FEAR THE PINSTRIPES !!!!
